SUMMER RESIDENCY AT THEATR CLWYD - AUGUST 2019
Matteo will run the summer residency hold at Theatr Clwyd in partnership with National Dance Company Wales.
FRINGE 2019 - EDINBURGH
Matteo will visit the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 during the British Council week (19th till 24th of August) thanks to the support of the Arts Council of Wales through their Seeding for the future fund.
SUMMER RESIDENCY IN ITALY - JULY 2019
Matteo together with the support of Wales Arts International, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese (TPP) and Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali (AMAT) will deliver a residency in Puglia to start thinking about how to develop one of his works, Omertà, as a full evening performance. He will work with a full female cast made out of 8 performers, 4 Italian female singers (vocal quartet FARAUALLA) and 4 welsh-based female dancers. This is the first step towards producing a full evening performance in Autumn 2020.
LES MISÉRABLES - CHAPTER ARTS CENTRE, CARDIFF (UK) 27-30.03.2019
Victor Hugo dedicated nineteen whole chapters to the Battle of Waterloo in his seminal novel. Its complexity, its absurdity, its savagery. August 012 will present this bitter English victory, whose outcome shocked both the victorious and the vanquished and sent Europe into turmoil.

A raging theatrical lament, this production juxtaposes text adapted from Victor Hugo’s novel with contemporary attitudes, understanding and approaches that reflect the events of the referendum, turning the auditorium into a battlefield.
August 012’s production of Les Misérables is directed by Mathilde López and choreographed by Matteo Marfoglia with the support of University of South Wales, Chapter Arts Centre, Arts Council Wales, Welsh Government and the National Lottery.
